How Many Videos Should I Upload On Youtube Per Day
More than and more people are jumping on the daily vlogging training. We hear people or YouTubers talking about how their subscribers increased as they upload daily on YouTube. Is in that location some truth in these claims? To see if this would actually increase my subscribers, I decided to do an experiment to test these claims and share the juicy stats and details with y'all.
Does Uploading DAILY on YouTube Increase Your Subscribers?
Daily vlogging is all the rage. It's not a new concept, merely more and more we see regular ordinary people like you and me uploading to YouTube daily.
Merely oft getting simply i video out there in a calendar week, or month… or at all… is a huge feat.
Similar HHHHUUUUUUGGGGGEEEEE. Right?
How in the globe practice people continue up with daily vlogs?
That'southward a great question, but I take a better ane:
Does publishing daily actually assistance your aqueduct abound? Does it assistance proceeds subscribers faster? Will it help your channel grow?
I ran an experiment on my YouTube channel in Apr 2017, and I want to share aaaall the juicy details and stats with you.
Video does accept time to set up, produce and publish. So before you start a daily vlog routine to pair with your blogging efforts, I wanted to give you the results from my own little daily uploading experiment. So let me be your crash test buddy! (see what I did in that location? I'm no dummy!)

My Hypothesis
There is conflicting advice out at that place on how often you lot should ideally publish to YouTube. Once per week is a comment starting point, but I know people who upload every. single. day. Even weekends. Fifty-fifty Holidays!
And I have heard YouTubers say things like, "once I started uploading daily, my YouTube channel TOOK OFF!"
So when I decided to accept part in a "Blog Every Day in April" claiming, I honestly thought it would give me a crash-land in subscribers.
It only takes a little chip of math to see why I idea this way:
If 1x per week = x amount of subscribers, and then 7x per week = 7x more subscribers.
Right?!
Erm… non really. Let's accept a await.
Uploading Daily Increase Subscribers Experiment
So let's dorsum upwards a niggling bit. I participated in something called VEDA, which is where YouTubers Vlog Every Day in April (or August, only I did April). When I started on April get-go, I had 9,192 YouTube subscribers.

I started publishing weekly on my YouTube channel the first calendar week of January 2015. So it took me 2 and a quarter years to go to 9k.
So I was booking it toward 10k.
In February, I netted 500 subscribers, and in March, I netted 504. And this was with a consistent publishing schedule of 1 video per week.
So looking at the math… if I publish 7 times more content during Apr, surely I could at least DOUBLE my subscribers during that calendar month. SEVEN TIMES More than CONTENT! That is A LOT!
But I gained less than 700. Non fifty-fifty close to double. I didn't roll over the 10k mark until May. Cue the "whomp whomp whomp" audio effect.
My hypothesis was shot. Uploading daily on YouTube doesn't guarantee you lot an increase in your subscribers.
My Wins
No, producing 7 times more than content does not yield 7 times more subscriber growth.
But that'southward not the end of the story. I did have iii amazing wins!
Although I didn't cross over 10k during April similar I thought (and hoped), and my subscriber count didn't explode, I did have some MAJOR wins that would be crazy to overlook, peculiarly equally a blogger.
1. Views are up. And views on YouTube are HUGE. YouTube loves it when people view content on YouTube, and rightly so. And previous to VEDA, my views were looking pretty droopy. And then I am pumped to encounter views going in an upward direction. Not only were views up during this time frame, but they are nevertheless up.

2. I created an amazing resource for my whole audience. My daily videos were role of a series – 30 Days of GoPro – A Guide for Beginners. I had it planned out, and it'south for total beginners. So I wasn't vlogging willy-nilly on whatever I could come up with for the day, I was building an amazing resources. So that's done. Created. Boom. Set up to ship my electronic mail list. Ready for to help my audience. Ready to create an opt-in for.

three. Speaking of opt-ins… I created a bright opt-in loop and added almost 550 new people on my email list. Actually, I estimate about 100 of those people were already on my list, but even then… posting daily on YouTube in April helped grow my email list. AWESOME. AND Information technology'S STILL GROWING MY EMAIL LIST because the videos are nonetheless at that place. The series is withal going. People are still finding my videos and opting in.

(I volition probably do a split postal service divulging all the secrets of my brilliant opt-in loop, and then stay tuned!)
In summary, posting daily on YouTube didn't give me a bump in subscribers, at least not noticeably, only I had three really powerful wins as a result of participating in VEDA. These are wins that whatsoever blogger or YouTuber would Dear to take whatsoever time!
If you lot're thinking about starting a YouTube channel or a video series, yous may exist wondering if y'all need to go crazy with daily uploads. Information technology is entirely upward to you Simply I'd say "nah!".
But before you even get that far, accept y'all considered with your video ideas will exist a hit with your audience?
I hate the idea of creating content that goes nowhere with your customs. No views, no engagement, not growth. That is the Opposite of why nosotros do video. Correct?
The longer you wait to find out what your audience wants to see from you lot on video, the more than time y'all may potentially waste just guessing. Be certain to grab my video and details on 3 fool-proof ways to tell if your video idea volition be a striking with your blog audience!
